| 内容記述 | According to Thomas Aquinas, man is master of his actions, and on this point, man is different from other animals which are irrational. Man is a personal being as far as he hasdominion over his actions. On the other hand, man is a kind of social being. According toThomas, it is evident that all who are included in a community stand in relation to that community as parts to a whole, so that whatever is the good of the part can be directed to the good of the whole. We need the community because we are parts of it. However, man has some transcendence as person. Therefore, man is the transcendent part in the community.And while moving towards happiness, man is like a personal pilot of his own movement. I propose the community provides the sphere of personal movement, and makes it possible for each person to move himself. Man can be a human being only in a community. | |||||
