| 内容記述 | Economics as an empirical science was founded by Adam Smith based on the concept of natural price. Accordingly, the just price has been studied as a predecessor of the natural price. From this viewpoint, in the field of economics, the just price has been examined for its effectiveness as an analytical tool. However, the original intention of Smith, as a moral philosopher, was to substitute the natural price for the just price occupying a central concept in economic ethics. Paying attention to two divergent basic contexts, the past leading works about iustum pretium must be examined. This is a critical examination on followers of Thomas Aquinas' economic perspective. A comprehensive and systematic study on Aquinas' iustum pretium will still need to be undertaken, as it is strongly related to commutative justice and distributive justice as a subsystem of moral theology. |
