| 内容記述 | According to Thomas Aquinas, every part is ordained to the whole, as imperfect to perfect; and one man is a part of a perfect community. But what is the perfect community? This means the state, and as one man is a part of the household, so a household is a part of the state. It can be argued that there are some kinds of order to the common good, and this completeness means the degree of fulfillment of the common good. Additionally, man is a person, and person is the name of individuals who have rational nature and dominion over their own actions. So how will a person be a part of the community? Thomas says that in human affairs this name person is common by a community of ideas, not as genus or species, but as a vague individual thing. On the movement toward the common good, it will be possible that persons have much in common with each other as a part of the community. | |||||
