In our country also, there are so many problems such as domestic violence, baby-battering, juvenile delinquency, and suicide. To begin with, what do we live for in this world? How can an existing religion give an answer to the fundamental questions? This paper is intended to show that the message of Christianity holds true even in these modern days.  A view of traditional missions was the plantation of churches into the non-Christian world and conversion of pagans to Christianity. But the Catholic Church after the Vatican council II looked at missions from an opposite direction, i.e. context in cultural, social, and national situations. How does the good news of Christianity encounter with other different cultures?
